“Mediation as a Business Problem-Solving Tool"

When: Tuesday, September 21, 2010

Time: 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM

Where: BCHBA Office * 811 Packerland Drive * Green Bay, WI

Instructor:  Trisha Huizenga, Facilitate, LLC

Class Description:

Have you had a disagreement with a customer or supplier that
you couldn't resolve satisfactorily? Have you had issues with
problem employees that put your business at risk? How about
conflicts with business partners?
You may want to consider
bringing in a mediator. A mediator facilitates problem-solving
discussions when direct negotiation by the parties has been
unproductive.  Mediation is often appropriate for disputes arising between companies (customers and vendors) and within companies (ownership team, management team, other work teams, managers/subordinates, etc.).
A mediator can be helpful in resolving disputes before litigation
begins, as well as once attorneys are engaged.  Mediation is
especially effective in dealing with business issues that are not necessarily
legal in nature. A neutral third party can greatly change the
dynamics of just about any negotiation, and mediation is a quick,
cost-effective and low-cost business problem-solving tool.
