The Brown County Home Builders Association (BCHBA) is a member-based, non-profit organization established in 1956. The BCHBA is dedicated to providing services to our membership and striving for safe, affordable housing for everyone in Brown County. Our dedications to the industry and quality of elevated leadership have made us one of the most influential trade associations in the state.
Currently our local Association membership is 1,200+ members strong and growing. These firms represent approximately 30,000 employees in Northeast Wisconsin.
Membership
Membership in the BCHBA is divided into two categories: Builder and Associate.
Associate Member – Any person, firm or corporation engaged in a trade, industry or profession related to shelter construction remodeling or land development, and not inconsistent with the objective of the Brown County Home Builders Association and is of good character and good business reputation, shall be eligible.
Builder Member – Any person, firm or corporation currently in the business of shelter construction, land development or remodeling; and agrees to subscribe to the Code of Ethics and Bylaws of the Association; and is of good character and business reputation; and has successfully completed and passed all education programs as described in the BCHBA Policy and Procedure Manual for Builder members shall be eligible.
To be eligible to participate in the Spring Showcase of New Homes and Fall Showcase of New Homes a member must be an approved Builder member prior to the final deadline to withdraw an entry. The member must also have held a membership in the BCHBA for a minimum of one (1) year prior to the event.
Committee Involvement
Committee involvement plays an important role in the success of the BCHBA. Members who volunteer their time and talents help make the Association strong. This can also be a way to market their business. The following committees are looking for volunteers.

The Brown County Multifamily Committee (BCMC) provides leadership and promotes a standard of excellence for the multifamily industry. Membership in the BCMA is included in the membership fee by simply marking your desire to join the BCMC on the application.
Affiliations
The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is our Washington-based trade association representing more than 203,000 member firms and professionals involved in our industry.

The Wisconsin Builder Association (WBA) is our Madison-based trade Association with more than 6,300 member firms. WBA lobbies legislation on laws and codes pertinent to affordable housing.

BCHBA Events
The Brown County Home Builders Association sponsors three industry related events throughout the year.
The Home Expo – is the only area home show where consumers can experience "one-stop-shopping" for all their building, remodeling and decorating needs. Our exhibitors include only those businesses directly related to the building industry.
The Spring Showcase of New Homes – is a tour of beautiful spec and custom homes throughout the Brown County area.
The Showcase of New Homes – has been an area favorite for more than 20 years. This new home tour features spec and custom homes.

BCHBA Code of Ethics
The members of this Association shall be limited to those persons and firms who shall subscribe to the following Code of Ethics:
A. Members of the Brown County Home Builders Association believe and affirm that:
- Home ownership can and should be within reach of every American family.
- American homes should be well-designed, well constructed, and well located in attractive communities; with educational, recreational; religious and shopping facilities accessible to all.
- American homes should be built under the free American enterprise system.
B. To achieve these goals, we pledge allegiance to the following principles and policies:
- Our paramount responsibility is to our customer, our community, and our country.
- Honesty is our guiding business policy.
- Health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with applicable building codes shall be built into every home.
- All members shall deal fairly with their respective employees, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and customers.
- As members of a progressive industry, we encourage research to develop new materials, new building techniques, new building equipment, and improved methods of home financing to the end that every home purchaser may get the greatest value possible for every dollar.
- All sound legislative proposals affecting our industry and the people we serve shall have our informed and vigorous support.
- We hold inviolate the free enterprise system and the American Way of Life. We pledge our support to our fellow members, our local, state and national associations and all related industries concerned with the preservation of legitimate rights and freedoms.
C. We assume the responsibilities freely and solemnly, mindful that they are part of our obligation as members of the Brown County Home Builders Association.
